The Collagen Lab was born from personal experience — and a whole lot of determination.
In 2023, our founder, Nikki Auckland (Accredited Nutritionist), tore cartilage in her knee during a weights session. The prognosis? A knee replacement. But Nikki wasn’t ready to accept that path. Instead, she dived deep into research and recovery, turning to therapeutic-dose collagen supplementation and a lifestyle designed to support joint health, mobility and repair.
Not only did she rebuild strength and avoid surgery, but the results went beyond the knee — her skin glowed, her nails strengthened, and her hair thrived. The compliments were thick and fast about how she had a glow to her skin, and no she hadn’t been doing anything different other than taking her collagen daily.
That experience sparked something bigger: a mission to create high-performance, science-backed collagen blends that actually support the way we live, move and age — for everyone.
With the unwavering support of her husband—who experienced his own transformation with noticeable hair growth and improved joint mobility—and their three teenage children, Nikki and her family launched The Collagen Lab.
